My photography has taken me all over the globe
I will never forget the many children along this journey, living in poverty, child prostitutes with brothers for pimps to get money to buy food for themselves and their parents and evil adults in power positions, taking money for themselves leaving the children to suffer.
Then there was Roberto who I met in an HIVAids hospital on the Black Sea in Romania. I will never forget the face of that 8 year old boy and his hope that maybe this American woman could help him survive this disease he was born with and bring hope to his situation.
I can't promised that Roberto lived a long life, but with the help of medical sponsors his life was bettered and his conditions improved.
I have learned that when we step out of the comfort of our own lives, no matter what level of comfort we have, to experience the lives of those with little to no hope, believe me, whatever little sparkle we can add to their lives is a priceless gift to them and a blessing to our own existence.
This website reminded me again, as I sit in my lovely loft in Chicago sipping my Port wine on Saturday night, that there is still so much work to do. I pray more than ever for the children, especially those in abject poverty, hunger and homelessness.
I am energized and moved by these photographs, not only to remember, but begin again in the actions that love, determination and hope and some great events and sponsorship can bring! Watch out for music events, books and a documentary 2014 to help children in their fight for live and dignity!

It is my wish that by sharing these images, you may be moved to a higher passion, especially for children wherever you are.
